ACCORD POWER SPONSORS NYSEIA NYC SOLAR + STORAGE SUMMIT, CONTINUING SUPPORT FOR NEW YORK’S CLEAN ENERGY INDUSTRY

Accord Power, one of the tristate area’s largest commercial solar installers, is sponsoring the NYC Solar + Storage Summit, the city’s largest solar and storage conference and tradeshow, hosted by the New York Solar Energy Industries Association (NYSEIA).

The sponsorship reflects Accord Power’s broader commitment to advancing solar and storage policy in New York State. NYSEIA, the state’s only trade association dedicated solely to distributed solar and energy storage, advocates for legislation including the Accelerate Solar for Affordable Power (ASAP) Act, which would raise New York’s distributed solar target to 20 gigawatts by 2035 and advance storage integration and grid modernization — priorities closely aligned with Accord Power’s work across the five boroughs, where the company has been a pioneer in commercial battery storage deployment.

As part of the Summit, John Humphrey, Accord Power’s Director of Energy Storage and New Technologies, will join a panel this Wednesday, June 24th, addressing the evolution of the rooftop solar market. He’ll be joined by Jonathan Cohen of NYSEIA, Emily Chessin of NYSERDA, Amy Heart of Sunrun, and T.R. Ludwig of Brooklyn Solar Works — bringing together perspectives from policy, state government, residential solar, and one of Brooklyn’s own leading installers for a discussion on where the rooftop solar market is headed. Humphrey’s appearance underscores Accord Power’s ongoing role in shaping the conversation around solar and storage growth in New York City, an extension of the company’s continued investment in the policy, technology, and market developments that drive the region’s clean energy transition forward.
