Riverdale Country School Integrates Solar Energy

As part of a project including two new rooftop solar installations on the campus of Riverdale Country School in the Bronx, Accord Power provided hands-on solar training alongside our partners Radial Power to members of the Sustainability Club. The half day event combined Solar 101 classroom training for the students and faculty with a rare opportunity for students to lay out the solar panels and get a feel for actual installation work. Mauree Shields, Project Developer at Radial Power, along with CEO John Bates were on hand to coordinate the training, facilitate the logistics and encourage the students. Accord Power EVP Barrett Silver, who led the classroom sessions, said “Despite the overcast skies, things definitely look sunnier when bright young minds are exposed to the inner workings and benefits of renewable energy.”
