Urban Energy Storage for NYC Buildings gets boost from Accord Power
Accord Power’s Director of Energy Storage and New Technologies, John Humphrey, enlightened the discussion as a panelist at Advanced Energy Group’s sold out event at 1 Penn Plaza. The lively seminar brought together representatives from NYSERDA, CUNY, ConEd, Department of Buildings, FDNY and others to help accelerate the deployment of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) in support of the transition to renewables in NYC. Humphrey emphasized the need to work closely with the Fire Department and Office of Technical Certification and Research (FDNY & OTCR) to streamline the process that all energy storage projects go through before activation.
